Carriageway Planing and Surfacing Contractor Framework 2020
Project Description
North Yorkshire County Council wishes to award a Framework Contract for the provision of carriageway planing and surfacing works, to be carried out on behalf of NYCC and others. The geographical scope of this Framework Contract covers locations associated with the Yorkshire Highways Alliance (YHA): North Yorkshire County Council, City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council; Leeds City Council; Wakefield Council; Kirklees Council; City of York Council; and the Borough of Calderdale Council. Other Contracting Authorities may also wish to access the services of the Suppliers on the Framework. The works awarded under this Framework Contract will vary in scale and be appropriate to the Lot value, but predominantly relate to carriageways and will include, but not be limited to, resurfacing, reconstruction, patching, overlays, road markings and any other related activity such as minor drainage and iron works, kerbing and verge works. There may also be a requirement for proprietary surfacing (e.g. anti-skid) and Highways Act Section 38 or Section 278 works on behalf of developers. Works could take place on any roads maintained by the relevant Client e.g. single lane carriageways, cul-de-sacs etc. and off the public highway.
